It's almost here! Disney...Here we come! Check out where we started on our countdown and where we are now!
We started with 64 days to go!
Now, we've got 3 days to go!
Stephen has absolutely loved pulling a number off each day. Jeremy does a "drum roll," and Stephen immediately rushes over to the Disney Wall. He's gonna miss this each morning, so I may have to make up another countdown wall! It's been fun for all of us.
This will be my last post before we leave. There are lots of things to do between now and Sunday. I know next week will absolutely fly by, but we can hardly wait to make some fun family memories! I'll be sure to blog when I get back (That week will be crazy, though, because we close on the house on Wednesday. There will be lots to blog about, nonetheless!).
So, here's our Disney itinerary for anyone who's interested. We've been reading and planning for months and months. We're gonna stick to our plans as much as possible but remain flexible for the boys' sake. I can actually send you our specific ride plan for each day if you're interested. We saved it on touringplans.com and used their book, The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World, as our greatest resource. Here's the short version of our week...
Sunday-Fly out of RDU at 1:40 and arrive in Orlando at 3:20. Disney will pick us up and take us to the All-Star Sports Resort. They will get our luggage and place it in our room. On Sunday night, we're eating dinner at the Garden Grove in the Swan (We've got character dining each day because of the free Disney Dining Plan! Yay!)
Monday-Enjoy Hollywood Studios; Have lunch with Playhouse Disney characters at the Play 'n Dine Restaurant
Tuesday-Enjoy Magic Kingdom; Eat with Winnie the Pooh at the Crystal Palace
Wednesday-Enjoy Magic Kingdom again (We just added this extra park day...it was only $20 total for all of us!); Eat at Chef Mickey's; See Spectromagic and the Wishes fireworks show
Thursday-Enjoy Epcot; Eat lunch at the Coral Reef Restaurant
Friday-Enjoy Animal Kingdom; Have breakfast at Restaurantosaurus; Enjoy the Chip and Dale campfire and sing-along that night
Saturday-Fly back home at 12:30. Arrive here by 2:00.
*Great times! And the beautiful thing is that every day, whether running around Disney or chilling here at the apartment, is a gift when our family shares it together!
